Congratulations to The Studio North East, who have achieved their first winning image in the Baby of the Month competition!
The studio’s entry of Chiemerie proved popular with the Public, plus our Mum and Sponsor judging panels in the December 2025 competition. Chiemerie will soon receive a £50 Boots voucher and be part of the 2025 Baby of the Year competition, where she could win £5000!
We spoke to studio owner Andy to find out what he thought about achieving his first win in the Baby of the Month competition.
“Since opening our studio in 2011, we’ve grown from strength to strength. Like many small businesses rooted in their local community, our journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but those experiences have only deepened our appreciation for the families who continue to trust us with their most precious moments.
While I’m the owner and studio manager, the studio would be nothing without the incredible team behind it. Each member brings their own unique strengths, creativity, and personality, and together they create an environment where families feel relaxed, welcomed, and cared for. I must give special credit to Andrey, the photographer who captured this stunning festive image of baby Chiemerie, a beautiful moment shared with a family who allowed us into their story.
Although our creative team offers a wide range of photography services, our true forte lies in portraiture, particularly newborn sessions. We feel incredibly privileged to watch families grow and to preserve those fleeting early days. Our photographers are exceptionally attentive, deeply creative, and genuinely passionate about their craft. I am incredibly proud to be associated with such a talented team and honoured to see our work recognised in this way.

What a fantastic morning we had at The Studio North East. All of the staff were lovely, we were a little nervous but they soon made us feel really relaxed to the point that it didn’t feel like we were on a photoshoot, it was absolutely brilliant! And the prices are so reasonable too, the photos we bought didn’t break the bank – that’s always a bonus 😀
