Baby of the Month Competition Update

Since launching in January 2015, the Baby of the Month has become the UK’s leading baby photography competition. To protect all future entrants, we are improving the voting system and there will be a new voting process from May 2021.

Voting process

Currently, entries that are voted for on our Facebook page have counted for a quarter of the overall judging for each competition.

From May 2021, we will only count public votes made on a new Public Vote Page; which will be featured on the Baby of the Month website instead of the Baby of the Month Facebook page. Once voted for; you can still share your favourite image with your friends and family by clicking ‘Share’ underneath the image.

Images will continue to be displayed in numerical order and watermarked with the name of the studio attended by entrants. The number of votes each image receives will no longer be displayed, which will prevent entrants from knowing their baby’s overall position in the competition until it is judged.

Each bi-monthly and annual competition will continue to be judged using our 4 judging panels: Photographers, Mums, Sponsors and the new Public Vote.

Where will the images be featured online?

The Baby of the Month Facebook page will feature a Pinned Post, which will display the web address of the Public Voting area.

Baby of the Month will continue to send an SMS and email to all entrants when a new competition opens, with details on how you and your family/friends can vote for your baby’s image.
