Mark receives regular praise for his photography from his clients and the photographic industry and Aoife’s image brings his total of winning images in our competition to 13 since it began in 2015.
His studio, Mark Swinford Photography, is one of Yorkshire’s leading portrait studios. Based in Horsforth, Leeds and established for over 25 years, it is run by Mark and his wife Tracy, along with a small dynamic and dedicated team. The studio is well-equipped, with air-conditioning and easy access via public transport or by car, with off-street parking adjacent to the studio building.
Mark started his career in Medical photography and also with one of the leading portrait and wedding photographers in the county, training and then moving onto being a fully qualified photographer. Among Marks qualifications are 2 City & Guilds, qualified in the MPA, BIPP, SWPP & CrGoP, plus membership of two invite only exclusive groups of some of the best portrait photographers in the country.
Mark’s passion and commitment to his craft has enabled him to take the best from his classic training and blend it with the latest creative techniques, with the help of his team of staff who are always changing, re-inventing and keeping the studio style fresh and at the leading edge of photography.

We took our 9-day old daughter for a newborn shoot, and we couldn’t be happier.
