Congratulations to Emma Bell of Barrett & Coe Essex who has achieved her first winning image in the June & July 2021 Baby of the Month competition!
Emma’s entry of baby Eleana proved popular with our Mum’s judging panel and also the Public Vote. Eleana will soon receive a £100 Boots voucher and be part of the 2021 Baby of the Year competition, where she could win £5000!
Commenting on the win Emma told us: “I joined Barrett & Coe Essex last year after graduating as a fine-art photographer. I never thought I would get a job as a photographer so soon after finishing university, let alone a job I love so much! I have loved creating special memories for the families that visit the studio, and I’m honoured to have one of my images chosen as a winner in the Baby of the Month competition.”
Since being established by owner Peter Evans in 2005 the studio has grown to be Essex’s premier portrait studio, welcoming families, babies and even pets! The team also includes Photographer/Studio Manager Anne Wills, who has achieved several Baby of the Month winning images herself.
Modern and comfortable, the studio is situated in converted barns in the small village of Coggeshall, just off the main road between Colchester and Braintree. The village boasts some lovely antique shops, cafés, and a garden centre close by and with Colchester Zoo not far away, it makes a lovely day out, particularly if whole families are there for a photo experience.

We got our photos back today. Wowzers! They’re amazing!! Emma was able to catch our little boy perfectly. He has a super cheeky grin and Emma was able to make him chuckle throughout the shoot. It was a lovely experience and both Emma and Anne (and little puppy) made it so fun and enjoyable! Thank you so much x
